All three fitted with brass guards, leather-wrapped grips and iron scabbards. 1) Ames 1860 sword, 40 1/2" OAL, 34 1/2" blade marked "N.J/US/D.R/186". Fair. 2) Roby 1860 sword, 40" OAL, 34 3/4" blade dated "1864". Fair as repaired, with heavy pitting. 3) Non-regulation Horstmann sword, 37" OAL, 31 5/8" blade. Fair as polished.
